Music

Background

I began playing music at the age of 9, first with guitar and later trumpet. I played and studied both these instruments through my academic career. While earning my Bachelor of Arts, I studied composition, recording and mixing, and electronic music. This led me to an increasing interest in computer music and digital signal processing.

Process

I currently compose and record my music on a combination of hardware and software including Ableton Live, Max/MSP, and external synthesizers and samplers. I use guitar and occasionally keyboards to compose, but I often program MIDI in Ableton Live. I use hardware to perform modulation in real time while recording.
